Itchy feet? Leave the heights of your chalet on stilts and head off on an exploration of the wonderful surroundings of Kanôpée.
Opposite me, the Saône, to my right, the Cascades, to my left, Trévoux!
To start off, let’s head to Trévoux.
Don’t miss out on the history either: the painted ceilings of the 17th century parliament building, the museum “Trévoux and its treasures” to appreciate the singular history of this ancient capital of the diamond industry, the Carré Patrimoine and its collection of 119 earthenware apothecary jars, the fortified castle and its panoramic view across the plains of the Dombes, the Beaujolais and the Saône valley.
The Saône, exactly.
Happy as a fish in water? Not quite yet.
Finally, direction the Cascades leisure centre. 1800m² of heated pools, a 42m long water slide, a 5 lane multi-slide, a geyser, a tidal pool and a kiddies pool… In summer the Cascades is the ideal place to combine water, sports and fun filled activities. This vast playground has a cool zone with a trampoline and bouncy castle, ping pong tables, volleyball court and children’s playground. And it’s even possible to have an introduction to scuba diving or pony rides;
No more itchy feet?
