Trévoux is a commune of the Ain department of about 7,000 inhabitants located on the left bank of the Saône river which belongs to the district of Bourg-en-Bresse. It is less than an hour’s drive from several major towns in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes : Villefranche-sur-Saône (11 km), Lyon (30 km), Mâcon (50 km) and Bourg-en-Bresse (52 km).
The town benefits from a good motorway access. It is served by the A6 motorway, which links Lyon to Mâcon and Paris, and the A46 motorway, which provides quick access to Villeurbanne and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport. Two SNCF railway stations are less than 10 km from Trévoux, at Anse and Quincieux.
We know how difficult it is to leave the perched lodges and chalets, the comfortable deckchairs with a view of the river that appears languidly in front of the terraces, but take your courage in both hands: our territory is waiting for you!
At the gates of Kanopée Village, a campsite close to Lyon, Les Cascades de Trévoux offers a water park with privileged access to our guests. Toboggan, pentagliss, running bath in a large landscaped park, everything has been designed to make the day go by very quickly.
For lovers of wide open spaces and freedom, boat trips without a licence are possible on the Saône with Zeboat. As well as walks accompanied by a captain.
The town centre of Trévoux is home to severeal mansions with beautiful facades built between the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as other remarkable buildings such as its former fortified castle, the church of Saint-Symphorien, the parliament of the Dombes, the castle of Corcelles, the hotel of the governor of the Dombes, the Maison “Guerrier”, the Maison “Anginieur”.
