The districts of Lyon

Like all large cities, the city of Lyon is divided into arrondissements (9), and each arrondissement has several districts. Some are more attractive than others, from a tourist point of view.

  • Croix-Rousse district: a historic district accessible for the bravest from the Place des Terreaux via the ascent of the Grande-Côte. It contains an antique amphitheatre, several remarkable churches, the Rosa Mir garden and the famous house with 365 windows (Brunet house).
